he doesn’t have the remote because it was in his boat he only purchased the generator but is selling it because he needs a bigger one. The generator is located in Miramar Florida and he wants $4000. It was completely rebuild, if you give me a phone number I will text you a video of the generator running.

I have a 6.5 cz, a lot of the parts are the same. What parts do you need?

Magneto, points etc. is what my mechanic has said. I'm waiting until my mechanic gives me the serial numbers and the model number but I'm trying to get a head start on where to start my search. it's an old one it is in a 1987 340 Express. Thanks

Tuff commodity in good working order
Occasionally see sellers swapping out units with larger and selling

There are a number of one man generator rebuilders here in Fla

Ft Lauderdale
St Pete area
Boat owners crate their generators , send them ,
Shop returns , totally checked out , rebuilt

Total rebuild $ 5000,
could be less depending on what needs replacing

On my 30 footer , generator is a Kohler 5 E , 225 hours
Port engine blocks
Generator seized , was making me crazy not working
Last season port engine had too come out , pulled gen set ,
Fast going thru , starter ng , fuel pump , crank shaft froze ,
Shot tranny fluid into spark wholes , got crank too move , electric motor smoking, Got gen set too start , but why did crank seize ?
Made a decision not too reinstall , Must be done correctly ,
Not pulling engine again for bandage job
Would fire gen set time too time before it seized , Dock side
runs a/c , Away from dock never in cabin , never sleep on hook
A $ 150.00 - 2000 watt power inverter operates everything except a/c
Many op too go portable for occasional use , sitting on swim
Carbon fumes sleeping at night a concern ,
