Upon winter haul out this season I had them remove the perfectly good generator so I could replace the Rotting floor the generator and the batteries sit on. has anyone done this?
In the meantime I pulled out the ice maker under the stairs because the whole floor under the stairs was completely rotten from a leak apparently from the port vent box And the floor seems soft and delaminated at the foot of the stairs. I was going to attack this from underneath by first removing the two layers of soundproofing then replacing the floor with a fiberglassed sheet of divinicell but there's not much room to work with, any ideas?

I'm in the middle of the same problem with the generator floor replacement and plan to do marine ply fiberglassed on both sides. I'm assuming that will Make it stronger and allow the generator to pivot easier when it comes time to change the impeller.

If you can do without the icemaker it’s a great spot for multiple extra house batteries
Have you consider using Coosa composite board?

While you have the gen out would be a good time to slide the water tank aside and service the steering gear. Also maybe install trimtab position sensors.

Roger, I just sent you a bunch of photos with all of the tabletop measurements in a conversation that I started with you. Let me know if you need anything else, or have any issues getting them. Good luck with your new table! Been thinking about having a custom one made myself.

The original plywood base seem to only have at best epoxy paint on it and it didn't last. I think with a layer of chop strand mat and 1708 both top and bottom will last it at least another 25 years plus will help it slide better when I pivot the generator in or out to get at the impeller next. Also the 2 cross members that are under the platform Weren't even touching The generator base, I’ll glass them up for support as well. $300.00 for extra for coosa will be spent elsewhere.
I plan on looking at the steering gear while it's out because I know I lose two or three ounces of steering fluid a year plus I have a sneaking suspicion the rudder shafts are dribbling. That's a spring project, right now it's hovering around 20 to 30° I need at least 45 degrees for these cold fingers.

Back on posts 3857-3860, there is info regarding building of a gantry to hoist the gen up so that the plywood could be replaced. And coosa was used. Unfortunately the pix appear to have been lost, during the recent site hack.

Trunk Latch
I am looking to replace the latch for the trunk hatch accessible off of the swim platform. It was broken when I got the boat years ago, with what appears to be pieces missing. I know that it is made by Eberhard, and is of the Eclipse line, however there are 3 different latching mechanisms, and I am not sure which one to look for and purchase.
The latching mechanisms are Slam, Pull Ring and Paddle-Handle. I think that the Slam option can be ignored as the handle appears to be different.
Has anyone had to replace this, and can advise which model to purchase? I have checked Flounder Pounder without success.

Looks like they have a list of distributors on their page. I'll bet any of them could get you going on who might be able to mail one to you with a part number. I replaced the gas shocks and gasket on mine a couple of years ago. The floor in that locker was horribly designed with just plywood and paint. It gets wet in there with zero place for that to go. I fiberglassed mine, and put in a couple of flush drains that drain into the bilge below it. These are unfinished photos, but you get the idea.

i watched this recently for a generator removal and replacment, not one of our boats but might be useful
Ideally i need to remove the trim at the bottom of the interior of the windscreen, to fix up the vinyl which is coming off. Question is, will it come out without removing anything else, it sits under the trims on the windscreen surrounds hoping i don't have to remove those
