Congratulations! Is this the boat you had to rebuild the engines? Also, what speed were you seeing at 1500rpm? I have never spent time in that rpm band. I top out my slow cruising at 1000rpm (running between 7-10mph depending on tide current) then jump right to 2150-2200rpm for speed cruising. Finally, I am a new owner of a sea Ray 400, I just took possession this last Thursday, I just took it from Punta Gorda, fl to Sanibel Marina in Sanibel Fl,
4 1 /2 hours trip at 1,500 rpm and just spent less than a 1/4 of the tank,
It is only 8 feet bigger than my old 320 sundancer but what I difference, so comfortable that we spent this 4 days on the dock enjoying the boat.
Just can't wait until Friday to go back to the boat. I live in Fort Lauderdale it is a 2 hours driving to Sanibel, I prefer to have my boat in Sanibel, too many places to go just a short distance boating, I went boating to Sanibel for my wife birthday for a week, and we never took the boat back to Fort Lauderdale, it is been 3 years. CSR is an excellent place, I am learning so much about the boat in this thread, hope to cooperate to this thread as well.
