I am a new owner of a 2001 400. I can see the salon AC through the dry storage area, but can't seem to figure out how to get to it. I wanted to change the filter. Any tips or tricks? The one under the bed is super easy to get to.

Just as easy, remove the 4 screws on the steps from the salon to the galley (2 on the top step and 2 on the bottom of the step). The steps slide forward to give you access to the A/C unit. You also need to disconnect the 2 12 volt wires to the light fixture in the step to completely remove the steps.

I clean the filter and wipe down the A/C's a couple of times a season and pour some hydrogen peroxide into the drip tray to kill anything starting to grow in the drip pan and drain line.

Thank you truk911! I never saw the screws. They may be covered by the carpet or I may have not looked well. I look forward to checking it out tonight.

I found the screws. Behind my stairs I also found a square piece of insulation that seems to be blocking the air flow? I wonder if this is factory? I removed it as it had a lot of dust. It seems like it may have been there to block sound, I cant' figure out why though. Any insights?
