In getting to know our new (to us) 1997 400SB please help me describe a couple of items we've found aboard.
Under the forward staterrom mattress we found (2) flat boards covered with the low pile rug type upholstery. They have (2) velcro type strips that obviously adhere to something. The upper side is a light colored vinyl.
The second mystery is again (2) fully upholstered relatively thick cushions (1) each stored under the single bunks in the guest stateroom . These are either seat cushions or back rests....but..... like mystery #1 .... where do they go??.
Are either of these to make the guest twin beds into a King bed? If so how?
I also found a couple of metal square lengths - are these the supports for the 'slug' that fills the (2) single beds to become a King???

Any answers would be a help.

Sounds like filler cushions to me - but I am not sure if they are for the bunk or a couch that pulls out into a bunk (or maybe a combination of both). Go to searay.com and look up a parts manual for your model/year and it will usually list whhere these pieces are stored and what they are for. Good Luck! - Jeff

Yes they are. Metal across the space. Plywood over them and cushions over the ply.

Great boat and good luck with it.
