Let me know how it goes. Very curious to see if you have the same experience.

I got a question for you gassers here. I have a buddy that is looking at a 98' 400. It is an original owner boat with 1000 hours on the engines. It's been in the Great Lakes since new. He's nervous about the 1000 hours. I have 620 hours on mine and I feel that is low for a 21 year old boat. I'm curious how many hours some of you gassers have on yours? TIA

Quick question, I need to change the impeller on my 7.4 Kw Westerbeke generator, it looks pretty hard to get to, how big of a job is it? I've done them on my old gas generators but there was a lot more room. Thanks

Thanks for the input, I'll be doing it this weekend.
So I received my new Lewmar anchor last week. The 200' of chain, swivel and shackles delivered today. I look forward to getting this hooked up this week.
As luck would have it, we were able to retrieve my old anchor on Sunday as well! I was on a friends boat cruising in the same location that I lost the anchor a week prior. Calm day, clear water and from the bridge we had perfect visibility. The chain spread out straight from the anchor made it very easy to identify. I'm shocked it hadn't been covered by sand. A buddy of mine swam down, tied a line and together we pulled it up.
So now I have a spare 35lb plow with chain.
Your new anchor is way too pretty to use! I would use the old one

Hey there BGIII, thanks for the post. I just changed my 7.6BTD genset impeller and ordered some spares. When I got the spares, it seems the impeller pin in the old style is thicker than the new style.I bought the Johnson Pumps 09-810B-1 Impeller kit off Amazon. It had everything except the 2 extra screws, cost less than half of the Westerbeke kit and I had it in one day. I believe Johnson may even supply Westerbeke with the exact impeller that Westerbeke sells in their kit.

I ordered the new 048500 impeller kit and it came with an impeller that the pin is too wide for the notch in the shaft. Does the 09-810B-1 impeller come with the wide shaft or thin one? Hope that makes sense! Can anyone else chime in?
I've ordered from both Stay Cool Pumps and the guy on Ebay and never seem to know what I'm gonna get. The one guy on Ebay suggested I just swap the pins from the old one to the new impeller, but I'd rather not. I'd also rather not pay $40 if I don't have to. The Johnson pump impeller 09-810B-1 is only $19 from Boatersland, but it also shows the old style gasket as well as an o-ring, so I'm confused.
