410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

I have a 98 400 Sundance with cat 3116 diesels and was looking at mounting a Seadoo Spark on the swim platform. Weight is around 500lbs
and I was looking at a Hurley H30 davit
The ladder on my platform is in the middle so that is one issue I will have to address. Has anyone done this?
A lot of people have added that Davit system I think @Strecker25 and @Stee6043 have that system installed so they might chip in. I think there are a couple threads dedicated to the 3.0. If you search for Hurley, you can read for days about how they work on diffent setups.

I run about 500lbs worth of dinghy on an H30+. You can buy an undermount ladder and mount it to either side. Though it you're not using the extension you may be able to avoid the ladder cover all together. The H30 does not mount centered on the platform, it's generally going to be lined up with the transom of the dink/PWC. EDIT - Check with Hurley, perhaps running a PWC does require the davit to be centered.

Better yet, go all-in and buy a new swim platform :)

I'd recommend adding support struts to your platform if you're going to run a Spark back there. That's a lot of weight.

I have the h2o and with any more weight than we currently have I’d be moving to the h3o. We are about 225lbs and hand loading it is a bit of a chore. Highfield 310CL with a 20hp Suzuki

I do love it though.

What you end up putting in ? make size etc?
I bought the Shurflo Aqua King 4.0 (4148-153-E75) and added the “quiet kit” along with the Shurflo 182-200 accumulator tank.

I removed the factory two pieces of waste hose that the pump was mounted on and mounted the pump directly to the wall since it had rubber isolators on it already. It’s way more solid this way and with the Shurflo pump silencing kit it’s almost silent.

There is nothing to lube on the actuator. Motion industries can make a new one. Is it 1500 lb static lift 24 inch

Thanks. Ironcially, it started working just fine the following day. Go figure...

Man you could put two more boats in that slip! Room for days!

Looks great...

Ha I know. We had a chance to grab the lone 60’ slip in our marina so I jumped on it. Something like 25’ wide as well, it’s awesome

I'm not a 400/410 owner (I've got a 370EC) but I went this route a few seasons ago. Replaced the swim platform and added an H3O. I've also got about 500 pounds of dinghy on mine, so I added the support struts as well, 4 of them, and the thing is rock solid. I sprung for the powered version of the davit (vs. the hand crank), I can load the beast by myself. Hurley will tell you the placement of the davit if you fill out their online questionnaire with the specs/dimensions of your boat and dinghy (or PWC in your case) and it's a pretty easy install from there.

The swim platform was from swimplatforms.com, they were very easy to work with and have a bunch of options available. When I first contacted them, they didn't have a template for my boat and wanted me to take mine off to ship to them, then they would build it and send to me. I waited a few years and by then they had a template (if someone here did that with their 370, thank you! ).

None of it was inexpensive, but I went several years trying various combos of davits and dinghies, I should have done this from the outset and saved myself a ton of money!

Here's a few pics of my setup.

Yeah, we have a very similar setup. It's a nice rig but we're still a half-step away from doing it right - a hydraulic platform :):)

ECM problem 2006 QSB5.9 380
After several false starts I am 90% sure my ECM is toast. – I removed the “always on” 12V supply to the engine and turned on appropriate breaker(the ones in the eng room) and the breaker did not trip. – Attached 12V supply to eng and turned on breaker. BREAKER TRIPPED! My questions are:Does anyone repair ECM’s.Where do I get a new one.Where does the “flashing” data come from (the old one, cummins, etc).

I seem to recall this being discussed years ago on this board. Something to the effect that the platform was never rated for the load, etc.

I would definitely do some triple checking before I cantilevered a load like that off the back.

A bit of proof being in the pudding here, no? Several of us have it in place. Mine is a Highfield 310, about 300lbs with gas and motor. PO installed it. Has worked just fine for a couple years now.

I installed 2” stainless struts to beef up the platform and it really made everything very solid. We’re only 250ish lbs and SR told me it could support 500, but the extra bracing sure won’t hurt.

There's a difference between the ratings of the OEM platform and the transom. With patience, Sea Ray and/or Marine Max will confirm the ratings for both...

we splashed in western Ny today. Blustery north wind and 39*. I didn’t even dewinterize other than the main engines since it’s headed to the high 20s tonight and tomorrow night. Thankfully the water temp is 52, so the bilge is safe. Spring can show up anytime now
