Has anyone ever had a problem with the splice from the anchor chain to the rode getting stuck in the gypsy?

I am wondering if the splice is too fat. It happened twice and I had to remove the spring loaded flapper to get the knot through.

Cheers!
Yes, however the spring loaded finger on mine was broken. I want to go all chain so that solved my issue. You can have the splice redone for a much smoother transition.

Thanks Irie! I also edited my post with a suggestion from another forum that came up on a search.

I think the manual does specify wire gauge. I went with the poco and also wired to 24 volt system so amp draw was much less.

PS curious why you removed the platform.
I pulled the platform off for fiberglass repair. The previous owner hit the dock. I’m also adding 1.5” to the spacers to get it level with the boat platform. It’s ready to go back on, maybe this weekend if the weather permits.

Will you have the room to get the dinghy off the chocks. I thought of doing that but as it is now I don't think the dinghy would float off the chocks if I did. I think my platform sits about 5" lower.

Has anyone had to replace fuel gauge sending unit in port tank? If so where did you buy it?
Thanks

My starboard toilet won’t flush and I noticed that the toilet vacuum pump won’t stop.. Any ideas on what the fix is and the difficulties involved. Thanks.

Sounds like u have a vacuum leak or bad duck bills on pump to me. But I am not expert.

I’m thinking you’re right on the latter. Would be very helpful if I could get some help on how to replace the starboard side. Thanks.

It’s in a tuff spot to get to. Just had mine repaired in the fall

I would think the exhaust tube needs to come off. Otherwise you can crawl behind the generator, if you're small enough. I'm dreading the job myself. I know its coming one day. Already rebuilt the port side vacuum generator. I took the whole pump assembly off which makes it much easier.

Make sure that you rule out the seal on the toilet.

The duck bills are not too bad to replace but getting to them is hard unless you remove the exhaust tube.

Maybe someone who has done the exhaust RnR could give some tips. I have heard it is a 2 person job. Once it is out, the tank and pumps are accessible. Not as accessible as the old 380 Sundancer though...

it’s doable with the exhaust in place if your arms are long enough. I had to do this last summer. It wasn’t fun.

Tim, Did you take the pump assembly off and replace the duck bills on the bench?

I'm guessing you did. In that case it is 4 bolts for the pump assy and the hoses.

Can someone share with me the part numbers or / and a link for a good place to buy the RACORs on 6CTA 8.3 on my 2004 Dancer.
Thanks in Advance!@

Don’t have part # but sea board marine is a good place to source that type stuff
