420/44 DB Owners Club

I replaced the centerline with the 810 this year. It fits the existing housing, but I plan to change the housing. The new housing has a flap design to limit the amount of water that rushes in while removing it when in the water. The speed wheel needs to be cleaned periodically. Otherwise it has an app where you can see roll and pitch which is more useful for sailboats.
Yes, found out the hard way that there was no flap.

Does anyone know if it the davit’s r easily removed from a factory SR hydraulic swim platform?
Secondly we boat on the Ohio River , we have a 800lb dry wgt seadoo. The lift is rated at 800lbs. I figure their rating is for bigger water than where I am, thoughts please.
Thanks

Are you speaking of the davits or the tracks for the davits? Assuming you have GHS lift?

The parts that stick up alittle from the platform that the dinghy sits in.
All I know is it’s a 2004 factory lift.

Yes there is a slide bolt that goes in the groove and holds the dinghy brackets in place, remove the bolt and they slide out

We now have a 480my under contract, the 44db getting sold. Missed the hard top and less isinglass, heat and air at the helm.
What’s a 06 44 with 1170hrs worth with all electronics upgraded. Refrigeration, stereo, axiom 12” 9” and 7.03 VV, FLIR, open array radar, killer stereo, factory helm & aft deck carpet still in packaging from factory, smart tv’s, Kvh’s.

Anyone looking to part with their interior carpet runners? Currently waiting on a quote from Gioia Sails to replace but figured i'd ask here to see if anyone has some that were never used or in good shape. I'm not a fan of the feel underfoot but with the kids and soon to be new pup we need them.

Any local canvas shop could do this for you. You also could go to a carpet like Corinthian that is dirt and stain resistant. You can buy remnants from Corinthian and have a local canvas shop bind it and put the snaps in.

Just an alternative...!

Which underwater lights do you all recommend for these boats? Also where is your switch located. I have the hydraulic swim platform, so I’m not sure how effective they would be mounted to the transoms. Any alternative mounting locations?

Went with 4 of the Lumitec Seablaze X2 full spectrum. Also did the poco install so no need for a switch. We have a stern thruster and GHS platform. No issues evenly spacing them for install. They are plenty bright and cast light well beyond the platform.

We have four Seablaze X2‘s (blue/white). I have to replace one of them while we’re hauled out. $460. They aren’t much good up here in the Chesapeake with the limited visibility.

Do you have a picture of your transom? I’d like to see where they are mounted.
