I just had a prepurchase survey on a 97 420AC. Everything looked good until haulout. Bottom had at least 25 blisters some as large as 4" in diameter. We also noted delam of several feet around what appeared to be the blackwater thruhull. Has anyone dealt with this before?

Nothing new about fixing blisters. You have two basic choices, grind them individually and fix or peel the entire bottom. The peel job is expensive but is one and done as long as you barrier coat and maintain. If you fix individual ones, expect to fix 10-20 a year. Those few you see with bottom paint on are a fraction of the actual blisters that are there today with more forming every day.

As for the delam, get two or more good fiberglass people in to look and give estimates.

You have another option: look for another boat. A friend just spent 20K to have the hull peeled and blister repair on a 42 Regal.
