We keep the two-piece bow sundae in the small stateroom between the berths, and it's really pretty cumbersome to take it out and put it away. Thinking of getting a cover for it, and just leaving it installed on the bow. Have any of you done this? Does Sea Ray have a cover for this I can buy, or is it something a local canvas shop would need to make? Any downsides to doing this? I'm thinking of Sunbrella, and I understand the pad will get wet from rain...am I begging for mildew problems?

I have a cover for our sun pad. Navy blue sunbrella. We leave it on all summer with no issues. Our pad is a soft vinyl and has a mesh backing so it can breath and dry out. We had a local canvas guy make it.

We leave ours on all the time.

The back is open mesh to let it drain and we replaced the foam with an open pore water repellent foam, its a bit stiffer but lets the water flow right through. Two to three times a summer we flip them over and give the deck and underside of cushion a quick wash, have never seen mold.

Looking to do the same. Can you kindly detail how it is attached in these areas? (see pic)

The boat originally came with a pad and cover. So I used the original location of the snaps...I didnt want to add more or move them. On the sides the cover goes around the rail and two snaps hold it down. The canvas guy used directional snaps which are a pain in the ass.... but I dont take it off very often so I live with it. His concern was it blowing off in rough weather or what ever.

Up by the windshield (pic below) one snap in each corner and one up about 6" and just one snap in the middle which exposes the pad underneath a bit... like I said I didn't want to put more holes in the boat ...the way it fits doesn't bother me.

When I had the pad made it is in 3 sections the top section by the windshield is twice as thick as the others to give you a bit of a pillow feel...because of the thickness that contributes to the gap you see

Sorry I don't have a lot of pics for some reason...any thing else let me know

I feel the same and I don't want to put more holes in mine either. Now I have small rectangle "loops" that sit very close to the deck. My pads are secured through those with ribbon nylon and a clamp on the pads themselves. I think I'll have a cover made that simply loops through the rail on either side and take it off when running. Yours looked very clean. Thanks so much for the help!
