Was`up your way yesterday. Merideth and then Alton Bay to check out the derby . Pretty impressive ! Especially Alton Bay,they make a small airport on the ice ! Probly 10/12 planes yesterday . From what I understand it,the derby,is usually even more crowded .Impressive it was, none the less.

We hit 60 last tuesday and it was AWESOME. all the snow was gone. come friday night we had a good 2-3 inches. Its torcher!

It only 44 degrees in Charlotte today but the sun is shining. That's ay below normal for us.

I've never been a real big fan of winter. Living in St. Lucia for a few years really did me in. We moved back here so the wife could get her MBA. All of a sudden, we bought a house - had a few kids - settled in. Every time the damned oil truck pulls up and fills the tanks, I think of how it was with no need for oil - then I get depressed about the cold.

If I thought we could get what we paid for the house, I'd pack everything up and head south again.

Well it is 10:01 PM and wunderground tells me it is 52 degrees. So for those of you with large dogs it is officially mud season here in New England.

Our lake ice is starting to look a little rotten and the eagles are eating fish while perched in our oak trees. Spring is appearing in tiny little ways.
