I second the above. I have the exact ultra 60 and swivel and it works amazing in the mud on the gulf coast.
Heck, you had it well before I did and can speak a lot more fluently about your experience.
Thanks again. All good stuff. Lofrans requested pics of my windlass, operating voltage, and chain info which I sent back this morning. Hopefully I will receive a quick answer. Where did you purchase your Ultra?Yes, same windless and words flawlessly. Just make sure you aren’t trying to pull the boat with the windlass. I am sure you already know but I’ve seen countless people trying to use their windless to bring the boat to the anchor and it’s mind numbing. Also just so you’re aware and not afraid, you might end up having to run over the ultra because it digs in so well…. Just run over it, pick up the slack and repeat until you get it on on the boat. . I’ve never looked back. Oh and it’s also likely that the windlass company will say their windlass isn’t rated to 60lb anchor — not sure but I’ve never had an issue and have been more than pleased with this anchor. I wasn’t pleased with the price but…. I guess you pay for quality?

Just heard back from Lofrans regarding my Project 1000 windlass. The original max working load is 363 lbs (165kg) and expect a routine load of 260 lbs (118kg). They stated that I am good to go with the Ultra 27/60 anchor. Now to find the best price. Thanks for your comments.Yes, same windless and words flawlessly. Don't forget this - https://www.mantusmarine.com/mantus-swivel/Just heard back from Lofrans regarding my Project 1000 windlass. The swivel?I support Mantus 100% and I am a dealer for them. Unfortunately the model with the Roll bar just doesn’t work on the 460. I brought them to our boat and tried but ended up with an Ultra because of the pulpit.
I’ve looked everywhere including eBay. The ones in the pic are wide, appear flat, and are the same angle as Sundancer letters.eBay would be my first try
My buddy in Traverse City has made those in the past I do believe. I know he has made just about every other Sea Ray logo. Give him a call @231-322-8052 or email: alan@proimagedesign.net (email may be best so you can include the images.) https://proimagedesigninc.net/I’ve looked everywhere including eBay. He is also an avid Sea Ray boater!
You’re welcome. Please note that there is no best price. Just my experience. I hope you get better news than I did…… and can find it cheaper. This is an expensive piece of boat jewelry.
