hey can anyone recomend nice view for fire works on lake ? i keep boat on marble head , i figure put-in-bay will be full of boats . we're not head to please just want to get out an have good time . thanks dave

The beach off Cedar Point is great if we have a typical summer SW wind. You can see the fireworks from the islands, Huron, Vermillion and Cedar Point has a 30 minute show at 10pm. It's best to get there early if you want to be in close to the beach and be patient leaving.

How about Bay Village? They used to have a nice firework display. I am actually trailering back to OH for the 4th and had the same question. I think I am going to get a transient slip at Romps on the Vermillion River.

+1

This year they're doing it twice: on both Sunday the 3rd and Monday the 4th

Last year while staying at Portside on Kelleys, we all jumped on 2 boats (Sea Rays no less) and went over to PIB and anchored out just outside the No Wake Zone at the Bay.

The conditions were quite calm, and as such the show was AWESOME.

Here is a photo of our anchorage. Directly in front of my bow is the barge that they launched the fireworks from. Front row view.

Yea, there were alot of boats, but with the calm conditions it was truely relaxing.

We waited for a good hour after the show to let everyone else leave first and enjoyed a nice ride back to Kelleys.

Hoping to do the same thing again this year.

thanks for info , would like to run over to put-in-bay sat. an stay whole weekend . you think all mooring bouys be fill up ?

don't know why i even ask , i figure that ! i won't get to boat till friday night , think early sat. would earn me a spot?

I will be surprised if there are empty mooring balls on Saturday, but stranger things have happened. The worst spot this wkd will be close to a pier in the public docks because you'll have rowdy drunks rafted to you and they'll step across your boat and grind the flies in. By Sat morning tho, if you can't hook a ball, you'd probably be a raft-er instead of the raftee. That's not as bad.

app. all info rollercoastr , i fig it was to late ! just looking for something different an little adventure in new boat ( new to me )

I'll be @ E 8 @ The Crew's Nest. Black 44 Da. There has been some balls available on Sat morning so far this year.

i should had check forum , would have went over an try to get us a spot ! oh well , from our local in marblehead could see everyones fire works , we had a great time ! ready to do it all over.
