I could be wrong but I think the original poster is talking about the 2005 -2012 versions that started as a 48DA Sundancer and has become the current 500DA. I know that in my manuals, my boat is called a 525 outside the US.

If my assumption is correct, He would probably have gotten alot more interest in the thread if he had added "48DA" in the title of the thread also.

You fine sir are incorrect, he is referring to the 2003-2005 500DA, which became the 2006-2009 52DA, which of course is the 525DA overseas. Hope this helps, but the big giveaway was the picture in his original post. It has the rotating companion seat that is only found on the above 3 vessels.

The cockpit is a realy great layout and the rotating companion seat realy helps with the traffic pattern in the cockpit! We call it the VIP area as it is raised above it all when having a party!

thanks for clearing that up.

On another front, let me ask you a question. Does you Cockpit AC system employ 2 units or 1 unit? thanks

Bill

Bill,
The cockpit area has Two units for a total of 28,000 BTU. I think about 2.5 ton. I am in AZ and they work pretty darn good! One unit is a slave to the other, they always run together. We were out when it was 110 and we just left the aft canvas up. There is also two down below, one in the master and one in the salon. When we stay over night we keep them on 70 and they work fantastic. I can offer you a way to see every thing the yacht has by down loading from the SeaRay's web sight.......the oweners manual and especially the parts manual! I find the parts manual very helpful. For example it shows you the whole air conditioning system. We are lucky that SeaRay has a wealth of information at our finger tips.

As far as one being a slave to the other? Is there one T-stat? Or two T-stats?
