So about to change the seawater impeller on my 89 268Da with a 7.4 bravo drive I can't seem to locate the strainer and seacock in my bilge and am asking where the heck it is . Or does this boat not have one or both. Also if there is no seacock can I clamp the inlet hose and tackle this job with my boat in the water. My temp is good but I'm changing the exhaust tubes due to a pinhole in the lower portside one and the shutters so think I should do the impeller while I'm at it to be safe . Can anyone offer me guidance on this please.
Thanks Dave

No seacock, water pickup is through the outdrive. Get a plug, I use to use a cutoff broom handle to stick in the hose and clamp it while I worked on the pump. On a Bravo, best way is to remove the whole pump and do the work on a bench, you will fight for hours with it try to do it still on the engine.

Thanks so much bill I'm good to go now.
