Has anyone replaced the Rack and Pinion steering cable? Before I get stuck head first in the bilge, Please save me from myself. Would it be better/ easier to install hydraulic?

I converted my 330 to hydraulic after trying to lube the cable that couldn't be lubricated, no way to get to the inner slide at the end to grease it. I did an entire write up on how I converted mine from cable to hydraulic, it can be found on here.

Awesome job. Not sure I have the ability or patience to do that job. Your 96 seems to have way more room and access then my 93. Hard to believe there isn't an easier way to lube the cable.
