newer boater - getting mixed answers.
Have a 22 ft bowrider - ride it once a week each month for about 5 months (in an adjacent state)......battery is dead, was a newer starting batter with good charge beginning of week.
It lost crank by weeks-end, so while it was newer, I wanted something with a little more gusto (I go overkill at times).
Boat is used to tube/ski/listen to radio/with amp (no trolling, other electrical use) - some said cranking is fine, but we do listen to the radio with an amp while moored - so I just bought a deep cylcle 31 marine battery with 1,000 CCA 750 MCA and 130AH - assuming this should suffice all around , or do you think for what I'm using it for a starting battery is best?
The boat only has a one battery set-up (and not really wanting to add a 2nd)
Any help would be great.
