I have a 1997 Sundancer 290 DA that I want to replace the steering wheel on. My understanding is that the shaft is 3/4" tapered with a keyway. I don't need a new hub. My question is, are the factory hubs with six screws a standard? I see a lot for sale that look right, but I don't want to buy one to find out the screws are different.

Thanks.

If it's like my 1998 270 SDA, yes it's tapered. I picked up a wheel from FP, here:

It's 'sea ray looking' IMO, but there are other options out there..

Nice looking wheel. I ended up getting a new steering wheel that came with the hub. It was already mounted so I didn't bother checking the six screw pattern. I might do that just for my own knowledge. If I do, I'll post it.
