I found a soft spot area on the deck. Its not very big about a foot by a foot and a half. Its about 3 feet from the starbord gunwhale.

Is it easily repairable and would it show badly?

What is usually the cause? I read it was mostly a foam core issue and others sa y its rotten wood core.

Wondering if I should fix it and if worth it.

You repair from under based on work I had done. There are lots of posts on soft decks.

First find and repair all places of water entry. My buddy used Get Rot and it worked well on his boat.

A soft spot in the cabin top turned up in our hull survey for our present boat. Sabre sent a crew to repair it and covered it under warranty. They drilled ¼” holes in the gelcoat and fiberglass and then injected foam. They then epoxied and gel coated the holes using patterns to recreate and match the non skid. Problem fixed.

Thanks, I did research from what everyone sent and it seems the new foams and epoxies can repair quicker than before and found some cool things.
I just wonder if the wood rot keeps growing and how to dry it out or if even needed.
One product I saw seems to push water out as it goes in?
Lessens my anxiety somewhat.
