Can anyone help me with the following/
I have a 1998 310 with a 12X10 Ac grill located at the cabin steps.
What holds this grill in place?
I have fought with this since I bought the boat. I was told that there should be plastic inserts to hold the grill in place.'
I have been to the Sea Ray parts manual but, they show nothing except the grill #1052232.
Does anybody know the manufacture of this grill or how it is actually held in place?
Thanks in advance for any information!
Bob

I will post pictures on the next trip to boat.

anybody with a 310 that can comment on this? I would like to fix it this weekend while I am at the boat. If not then I will get photos when I am there.

There should be 4 plastic sliding tabs. They are where the vertical part of the face meets the top and bottom. They are tough to see the first time. They just slide, I think the top goes one way the bottom goes the opposite.

Thank you! That is what I am missing. Anybody know where these can be bought?

This is the way my return air cover fastens also. I have the plastic tabs in place but they do not function well enough to keep the cover in place.

Other than buying the cover as a complete replacement I am fairly certain you can not buy the tabs separately.

I am going to try and fix mine by screwing it to the frame.

How about replacing the intake air filter? Mine is a metallic mesh material, that I hose off a few times a year, then let dry in the sun. Maybe it doesn't need to be replaced, but can't hurt.

Unless you broke the tabs, they just slide back into place, to hold the grille.

I never had tabs since I owned the boat.

Thanks,

I have the same problem ,no tabs, thinking of trying that dip for plier handles on the tips.

See the 2 upright supports on the backside of the grille. They are notched where they meet the frame, the tabs slide into the notch. The tabs are permanently mounted to the frame

Does anybody know the manufacter of the grill?
I guess I will need to go that way to gety the plastic tabs.

Or you could get a new grill from someone else .Mabey Long island marine,i belive he took in a 310 about your age from sandy.
