AC not cooling - anything I can check?

The AC unit with the compressor is under the front berth.

Good reference document below; unfortunately I don't think it deals with the problem you are experiencing. Sounds likely that you are having an issue with the compressor ($$$), refrigerant ($-$$$) or compressor electrical system ($). Is the compressor running and getting warm/hot while running? Does it run and then shut off on it own, before reaching the desired set temperature?

Aside, If you're comfortable with a multimeter, you will likely get to the root issue soon. If you don't have a multimeter, probably time to call in the professional.

I had the same problem last year mid-season. Noticed that the A/C got weaker on the cooling side every time we used it. Turned out to be the filter in front of the A/C unit was plugged solid. I took it out (it just slides out of the bracket) and flushed and washed it clean............Result......Ice Cold A/C again.

Follow the electric line from the reversing valve. Mine rubbed through the insulation. Also, remove cover on top on compressor. Mine vibrated to the point that the connection broke.

Do you have a reset button for the compressor? There should be at least a high pressure cut out switch on the refrigerant line and some run/start capacitors for the compressor. There is also a relay that has to close for power to go to the compressor and water pump when the thermostat calls for cooling, this may or may not feed both the compressor and water pump off the same terminals. Lots to check but if you have a decent meter it isn't too difficult.

Made it back to the boat. The compressor definitely runs, water flows. I set it on auto and it clicks back and forth between heat and cool appropriately but the air pumping out is neither hot nor cold. I will check the filter next
