I have a 2017 350slx OB and the plastic adapter piece (which mates the Attwood mast night pole, to the motor) cracked and needs replacement.
the wire to the light, needs to be cut, or disconnected so I can remove the broken piece and feed the wire through the new piece. The only way to get to it is to remove the two cockpit lights, and the piece of upholstery padding on the 'ceiling' of the top.
from pulling up a corner, I can see there are plastic clips, I am afraid I'm going to make a larger mess than I currently have.
I can also just cut the wire above, and use a waterproof coupler for splicing, and avoid having to access this large panel all together.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
