I am sick of having to haul my boat every time I have to do anything to the engine (I currently need a new water circulating pump, but can't do this with the boat in the water). It is a RWC 350 Mag MPI, so if I remove a water hose, I flood the boat. There is currently no way to shut-off the flow of water to the engine.
I'd like to install a ball valve just before the raw water pump to fix this problem. I want to get a nice brass one, install 2 nipples on the end that can accommodate hose connections, and install it just before the raw water pump. Anyone think this won't be as easy as it sounds??
Oh, and the subject should be RAW water...not WAR water. Dyslexic I think am I.
