What a mad house this weekend on the Columbia River! A ship ran over a thunderjet and sunk it as the idiot was in the shipping channel and wouldn't move. Not a smart idea to play chicken with a 150ft cargo. Coast gurd was trying to keep the channel clear but you can't fix stupid.

Wife got luck. 25-30lb king.

Nice fish! Even better that she caught it, and like Nehalennia said, she'll never forget it.

Was Darwin successful on the boat that sank, or did he let the fishermen leave to be stupid another day?

The USCG dragged him our with a helo ride in a basket. I wonder if insurance would cover your own stupid moves......
 
Nice fish we see the idiots in South Sound all the time fishing the shipping lanes in 12-20 footers it's a wonder more aren't hit or swamped by the 6' wake. Just got back from cleaning the boat from last weeks fishing still have a few nice smaller kings hitting the silvers are in 5-8lb range last week was bad tides -2 to +10 this week should be good +6 to +9 going out Thursday and Friday.

In regards to the idiot, I see this all the time when riding ships through the channles, often times the captains try to Hail them or blow the whistle, but they stay, ships don't slow down on a dime. And then the boaters have the nerve to "Flip Off" the ships. Sorry, but they are where they are supposed to be!

From the title, I thought you were bragging for a second:grin: lol. Nice fish but too cold for me for mid summer.
