Yeah, I know it's crazy busy there. I just want to know, if we take the boat 3+ hours to get there, how we can reward ourselves with a few slices of NYC pizza. Any water taxis? There's got to be a way to get to shore other than spending a small fortune on a slip for the night.

John how about the new marina in Brooklyn? As a transient then move to the anchorage behind the statue for the night.

I think the prices at the new Brooklyn Marina are on par with Liberty Landing.
I've seen lots of people on Wave Runners, kayaks, and small sail boats in New York Harbor the times I've been there with the boat so I imagine a dinghy is doable.
I don't think I'd do it, but some might.
Anyway, if you want to chance it you may want to look in to places that rent WaveRunners or have a fleet of the little club sail boats, give them a call and ask them about leaving a dinghy tied up for a few hours.

The pictures of your boat with the SOL in the background are awesome. I have to get another boat to come with me one day say I can get a picture like that.

No dingy.... that's crazy talk.. maybe maybe maybe and thatd a real maybe during the day.. but at night your out of your mind...

Yes there are water taxis that take you across. They only run until 7pm..Don't ask me why,

Perfect. Thank you very much. The admiral grew up in NY (Queens), so I just KNOW that she'll want to head in there for some pizza and a Mr Softie (ice cream, that is!

My wife and I grew up in Queens too then lived there for years as adults. Not too many Mr. Softie trucks still cruising the streets in the evenings anymore. No Good Humor or Bungalow Bar trucks either.
Sheesh! Now the Mr. Softee tune is stuck in my head.
