Afraid I have a transom replacement in my near future

Mine was driping from a similar location... actually was rapidly oozing.. I was worried it was the transon seal at best, bad transom at worst. It was actually the anode seal was gone and allowing water in.

Take a look at your steering pin. I had this leak on my last boat and that's what it was. The water travelled down the collar and dripped at the bottom like in your picture.

Just a suggestion. Good luck

Whats involved with either of these fixes? Complete dissassembly? Not sure where to look at the steering pin? I recently had some leaks I patched around my speedo assembly and am concerned there is water in my transom but had thought it was somewhat contained. I did note that where I had fixed the other holes that any water leaking out was brown and this water is clean. I right away assumed transom issue because I have not had it in the water and it has been very dry here, so I'm confused on where the water is coming from unless it is seeping out the transom. I did run it with the muffs on a week or so ago. I can put all my wieght on the outdrive and there is no flex in the transom so I think there is no rot yet in there but I'm sure its to come. Maybe I'm just over reacting. How can I check my transom to see if its safe for this season without tearing everything apart? Many thanks to anyone with input!

If its the anode seal, the boat needs to be pulled and the seal replaced, nothing major.
#19 is the seal.

I found this was the issue by pulling the boat, and flooding the bilge until I saw the leak out the back. Granted my leak was more significant than your dribbles, so it was easy to find.

Thank you...simple enough to check it out and see and a whole lot easier than tearing the whole thing apart. I am going to try to find out where and how I can drill some core samples to make sure the transom is okay to run this season and hopefully tear into this winter. I trailer to and from the lake so a small leak doesn't concern me at this point other than causing any additional structural damage.
