So I received alot of additional questions about my interior work after my dash fabrication. I am going to post this Modification. I know its not everyones cup of tea, but I like to be different and other cruiser guys have been blown away with my now 17 year old boat! I Like it enough to put some sweat equity and unfortunately, like most of us a bunch of money in it from time to time.
So the next step is white base coat with blue and a gold pearl white fade all of this done with automotive pre mixed rattle cans
Im not going to sugar coat it, getting the original mirror our required removing upper cabinets! Man y’all it sucked I didn’t take photos unfortunately, but you must remove the cabinet doors then unscrew the internal screws its a bitch! I would be liar if I didn't say there was some glass clean up. 7 years bad luck lol! So tape the entire mirror before you remove it. Whats the old saying the rear view mirror is always cleaner than the windshield!
So same process with the aft panels but save yourself this trouble. i tried to use house shutter plastic nails to make it fit into the original holes behind the panels..... and scraped that idea! Guys just get a two part body epoxy for automotive use it sticks and wont let go. I also used double sided velcro to get the speakers to stick in their positions.
While your cabin is apart run your LED lighting from the table all the way around to the galley. So have fun and make sure you drink alot because there will be alot of skinned knuckles! Im sure I’ve left out a bunch of stuff, so feel free to ask any questions I have created.
