Does anyone know the make/model/part number of the black turbo air filters on the 2005 (and I assume other years) 48 Sundancer? I've got Cummins QSC 540s. I'd like to find out the make/model as well as where to get them if anyone has found them for example in a national auto parts store (or online). I realize they can be cleaned and that's what I've done in the past, was just thinking about getting a new set though if they aren't expensive (rather than cleaning them yet again).

Thanks,
Jason

Jason, they are most certainly Walker Airsep filters: http://www.walkerairsep.com/product_detail.asp?id=613. I think the filters (mine are the same) are only sold as part of a re-build kit and are seemingly ungodly expensive ($800-$1000 for a 2-engine kit) wherever you look (Walker P/N 1000267). The kits do contain elements that Walker says do need to be replaced periodically in addition to the blue element you can clean; replacement interval is 500-700 hours. There should be an small maintenance indicator on the unit; here are Walker's instructions about it:

"All CCe systems include a indicator vent port. When the internal element service life approaches, you will start to see small amounts of vapor vent from this port. Should venting be evident, it is recommended to replace the entire filter set (1st stage & primary elements) immediately."

I understand that Walker uses K&N products and re-brands them but I didn't have any luck crossing to the blue filters kits as I once did for the red when I had engines with those.

Thanks alnav, that looks like it. I found it for $800 online - been cleaning those filters over the years, seems like it is time to replace them. Appreciate the info!

Sincerely,
Jason
