Airlock air purifier

Anyone have any experience with this product?

thanks

I haven't personally used the Airlock Purifier USA's , but if you're specifically looking for boat odor filters for holding tanks, I'd recommend considering big orange filter holding tanks. They appear to be a promising solution for addressing odors in boat holding tanks.

Thanks, We don’t have holding tank smells. Haven’t had any of those since Carter invented Poopy Powder and I learned to not allow holding tanks to not get over filled.

I looked at this gizmo, and what I think it is is basically an ozonator. It generates ozone. Ozone is very good at disinfecting, reducing odors, etc. However, as @techmitch is stating, it tears the crap out of petroleum based soft goods: vinyl, plastics, etc.

So the question is has anybody tried an ozone treatment that successfully gets rid of odors without destroying the boat?

Interesting read. In the early sixties my dad was diagnosed with asthma. Back then it was a big deal and he damn near died before the doctors figured it out. But as part of his treatment we had some kind of ozone/ionizer device that was supposed to purify the air. I’m guessing since he had reactions to dust it was an ionizer.

I wonder how the airlock thing is supposed to get rid of smells if it is just an ionizer that will only filter out dust particles.

I’ve used tea tree gel and spray to eliminate cabin odors with good effect. Expensive but it works.

Starbrite has about everything for a boat...who knew?

I use the Kanberra gel during winter storage. It really works well but can be really over powering.
Same stuff I used. But I didn’t take the sealing sticker off all the way. Only exposed a couple holes.

The little spray bottle only needs like 1 spray for a cabin.
