Looking for recommendations. On our 02 240 dancer....previous owner installed a head unit, pair of cockpit speakers as well as cabin speakers and a sub. All of these run thru 2 amps. When I purchased the boat in 2019, I purchased new kenwood head unit and 4 new speakers. Everything was operational and sounded satisfactory.

Fast forward to now. We took the boat out last weekend. Switch on the head unit to play blue tooth. Only sound came from the sub which is hooked to a clarion 2 channel APX280M.

The speakers in the cabin as well as cockpit have no sound/output.
I took a chance and switched out the head unit with a similar kenwood head unit. Same problem. The speakers are run off of a clarion 4 channel APX480M. The blue light is on....just no sound.

1-Is the amp finally dead and in need or replacement? Could it be the 40 amp fuse is blown even the power light is on? The boat is at the lake about 30 minutes away so not readily accessible.

2-If the verdict is the amp....suggestions on an adequate replacement?

Thanks for reading and your suggestions are welcomed.

If it is the AMP I have used the JL Audio 5 channel in my last 3 boats. Definitely great sound and very tunable. Zero issues with them ever.

Just threw away a 3 year old JL Audio amp. 2 year warranty. JL China most likely.

that is odd, I think the sound was one of the best I have had and no big. issues. I did have one fail in the first 60 days. Lots more coming from China these days, sigh.

Your right about the sound, so I bought another one. They're cheap enough.
