Surprise Gale winds over night on Thursday. Woke up on Friday to find the boat missing!!
Luckily we found her next door, narrowly missing the neighbors dock and the house next door.
Swept into a rocky cove and spent the night banging on the rocks and she was sitting high on the beach at low tide on Friday AM.

She busted here mooring chain in the wind storm. I wonder why? Turn out our mooring guy used cheap chain that corroded through. It's only 1 year old.

Surprising very little damage. Mostly cosmetic. Should be back in the water in 2 weeks. Going to have them give here a full scrub and buff at the same time.

Kudos to Padebco and Capt Steve from SeaTow for great service and helping out on a very stressful Friday!

Wow, could have been much worse for sure, Not a time to cheap on chain. I wonder if your insurance company will want to have a chat with your mooring guy. That could have been a much more expensive claim.
Cheers

Wow M, that’s crazy, glad it’s just cosmetic

Glad it was just cosmetic damage. I would also wonder whether the insurance company would go after the mooring guy.
