I recently finished up all my or most of my maintanence work and started to clean. I got to cleaning my rear livewell box. I filled it with water and soap and started scrubbing. After a minute or so the water disapeared. I got curiose and filled it again and walked around to see witch through hull was the drain. None were peeing. But the water was draining. It was not coming out of the holes under the swim platform either. I pulled the well out and there was no water. I followed the hose and it disapears. My ec does not have the livewell option (raw water pumping water into the box) but it does have a discharge switch on the helm pannels (another mystery that I would like to know what it does if it does not drain the well.) And no I dont have a maserator. I have yet to fill the live bait tub so im not sure were the water goes from there either.. anything?

If you lift those boxes out of the floor they will reveal the aft bilge area. This is where your rudder shafts are located. As an aside, there is another bilge pump (that you should ensure is functioning properly). From my recollection, this bilge has an underwater through hull which is where both the livewell and fishbox drain.

If that drain goes to any bilge holding area, that would eventually be a nasty smell if you actually use it for bait/fish.

I lifted the box out of the floor and yes it exposed the bilge were the rudders are and no water. I did notice bubbles coming out from under the boat but never thought to be an underwater through hull but I guess so. Im gunna have to dig alittle deaper and figure it out. Anybody on the discharge switch at the helm? The owners manual doenst even tel me what it is

That switch runs the fish box macerator (if your boat had that option)

That's what im confused about. I so not have the live well options. The switch labeled live well is blank but next to it is the discharge button. When I turned it on and the live well was full it didn't drain any faster and it a activated a pump that sounds exacly like the vaccu flush pump. The whole reason im so worried about all this is because the live well is big enough for me to use it as my dingy engine sstorage comp. And I need to know exacly how it works so I dont accidently fill the live well with water and destroy my motor.
