I have 1990 39 Express for sale. here is the conversation from e mail.

Not sure how to reply to bill of sale? There is a boat title that will be signed off on when paid for.

Had the same experience several times I have used Craigs list. I don't even respond to the first question. I find that it is better to tell buyers to only call me and that I will not respond to texts. I always spell out my phone number as well instead of typing the numerals.

Had the same happen with a car. They were going to pay an extra $5000 for shipping costs which I was to send back to them, plus an additional $1000 for my trouble. I was already getting pretty short with these people about not working this way, but they went as far as sending me a check, even though I never gave them my address. The check was from what looked to be a locally owned construction company in the mid-west, yet the jerk I had been talking to was supposed to be in California. I called the number on the check and asked them if they were looking to buy my car. They just started to laugh.
"Did you deposit the check?"
"Of course not."
"Where are you?"
"Idaho."
"Idaho? That's great! So far, the farthest we've had is from Georgia. Someone hacked our business account and has been writing checks on our dime. Our bank has it locked down. You could have deposited their check, sent them some money for their "shipping", but it would bounce and you'd be out the $5000. Thanks for calling us."
Dodged a bullet there!
 
I thought you would get a kick out of it. When the sentences are not proper that is the first sign.
I replied that when he sent the exact amount of $47,000 and the check clears the boat can be delivered. No response.
