I'm thinking about getting a pair of Revolution 4s for my 270DA... Standard was 21" Vengeance. Has anyone tried these on a 270 or similar boat??

I don't have any personal experience -- but, I have read a lot of positive posts here and on Propgods.com.

Based on what I have read, you will see a pretty dramatic improvement in cruising performance, ability to plane at low speeds, and time to plane. You MAY lose a very little bit of speed at WOT.

You will have to drop to 18 or 19 inch pitch to keep your RPMs in recommended range. The Rev 4's will bite hard and slip a lot less.

I just swapped out my 21 Vengeance props for used 19 Mirage Plus' on my 290 with 4.3s. Pretty impressive improvement in time to plane and cruising speeds. WOT RPMs dropped from 4700 to 4500, but GPS speed stayed the same. The Mirages just bite better than Vengeance on heavy boats.

The Rev 4's probably would work even better.

This morning changed my 3 blade props for 4 blades. Went from mercury aluminum to Michigan Wheel aluminum. Big difference! Came out of the hole much quicker with my normal load and when I loaded up 14 people, the hole shot was the same as the 3 blades with a light load. Held plane at a slower speed but lost 1 mph at cruise. I think it was a good move.
