Anyone tried a Fox gateway on a older ecm equipped boat?

Yes. Greatest product since sliced bread. Used it with a 7.4 mpi. Pumped all the data into the nmea network and via Bluetooth to the phone. Very helpful staff if you need support. Highly recommend.

They are awesome. Had them on my 290 after I blew a motor up and decided I wanted to have all the info in front of me at all times. Constant mpg, temps, fuel consumption, etc. if you have multiple mfd’s to show the data it’s even better because you can split nav and engine info.

I added the fix gateways to my 2000 7.4 horizons last spring. I love them. My analog gauges for temp were off enough that it bothered me, but the gateway showed the true not, which was def in the acceptable range.

if you have the mfd, best money you can spend for an upgrade. If you don’t, it’s a good reason to upgrade the mfd to nmea2k

I used them on my last boat (01 340 with 7.4’s). As others have mentioned, they are great.
