Anyone with advice on replacing remote oil lines on 8.1?

It's at the point that I can do the hose replacement with my eyes closed. While I was waiting for a replacement to the new/leaky hose, I repaired the original hose. I was able to get high temp/high pressure hose and used double hose clamps to clamp it onto the stainless tube. Unfortunately the tube requires 7/16" hose, but I was unable to find that size and went with 3/8". It worked well and didn't leak, but only used it until the factory hose arrived.
 
Glad I found this thread. Helpful information. I’m changing out oil lines on both of my 5.7s in my 290 Amberjack. Man you talk about a tight workspace! Port engine is done; now trying to work out what approach to get use on the starboard Merc!
