Blueone - That color and pattern looks very nice. Really good contrast.

No clue yet. Just starting to plan the project. Are you using woven vinyl or foam? I see there are some velcro type installations vs snap.
I made snap "flaps" that wrapped the edge and snapped on the bottom of the steps. I have also just added snap studs to the top of the steps.@Quint4: How did you do those covers on the steps (are they glued/snapped?). The factory plastic finish of the steps is slippery for dog paws, and material in the top picture looks like it has way better traction.
Yes, have done many interior "snap over" applications with great results.Wait wait wait. Are you guys saying you installed Marine mat type material over carpet?
Nice idea. So you did the project yourself? Level of difficulty?I made snap "flaps" that wrapped the edge and snapped on the bottom of the steps. I have also just added snap studs to the top of the steps.View attachment 142838View attachment 142839

Yes...thanks!
Easy for a DIY guy with a snap tool. I use the existing snap studs already in the floor (assuming the boat had runners over the carpet). If I do not have the existing template, it is not that difficult to make a template with 6 mil plastic. Once I have the template in hand, I cut and bind the woven vinyl flooring with matching a Sunbrella edge treatment. I only use teflon lifetime thread. Most of the time the boat is remote to me and I ship the flooring to the owner (to install with their snap tool). If no snaps exist in the floor, I include some SS ⅜" snap studs to screw into the floor.Nice idea. So you did the project yourself? Level of difficulty?
Good to know. ThanksYes...thanks!
