Who all is coming out to the Sarasota/Venice event at Lido Beach?

We'll be there.

Cheers,

We'll be there. Should be another interesting year since there will be a 1.5 knot flood tide as everyone is anchoring.

Don't head for the middle with all the yahoos...keep to the outside.

Is that this weekend?
Yes it is. Sun the 17th.

We'll be taking a slip for the weekend at the Hyatt if anyone is around it's a great place for the family to hang out.

Wow, pretty short list of interested parties in this area! There aren't any more CSR members than that in the Cape Haze to St. Pete area?

If it was on Saturday I would go but that's along ride for Sunday and alot of gas (probably 60 gallons). If I had pre-planned then I would have stayed at the SYC on Saturday and then headed to the event for Sunday.

Man I wish we were still there or going back. We were just at Lido Beach for the boat races over the 4th. Second time down there to hangout with friends and love that place. From the muscle party to the Lido Beach party such an amazing place. Just 9 more years and we will be residents.

+10 - We'll be full time residents in 10 years...actually have the house already, just need to make the move....

We would go but boat broke and mechanic stumped......not a good combination!
Ouch...sorry to hear that. Good luck!!!

Ken,

I saw your boat parked right their in the middle.

Chuck, I think I also saw Alegrias.

I would have stopped by to say hello if I'd checked this before heading out Sunday. Unfortunately we couldn't stay long at Lido as the kids had a birthday party to get to a 2pm so it was an hour drive down two short hours at Lido and an hour run back to the dock in Bradenton. It was a good time for the little bit we were their definately go for the whole day next year! Hope to see you out sometime at Jewfish or Egmont.

I was down the south end of the line ups. We especially enjoyed the kid's games which didn't start until 2. It was a hoot.

Things were great until the end. One of the salesmen who was on an 18' Bayliner bowrider two boats over from us pulled out. In the process he pulled up the bow anchor of the boat between us. As he drifted down current past my boat he decided to just drop the anchor he had snared, thereby crossing it over my chain rode and sending the boat beside me downcurrent on a collision course with mine. We were able to intercept the boat and keep it from colliding with mine. But now we had do deal with the two crossed anchor lines. In short we were able to get it done with some luck and heroics while hanging on to my chain rode. Our time to leave was decided for us at that point.
