I'm not!!! Feel like the season is geting under way and I have so much to do at work, around the house, and the boat is stil under shrinkwrap and I dont have a clue as to when I'll even have time to get there to start spring commisioning. It may very well be the first year I miss the blue angels....... AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!

I'm ready, but for the last 3 weekends, I have worked. 2 weeks ago, I deployed to Alaska for Red Flag - not a bad deal, but didn't help boating. Last weekend, I came back late at night. This weekend, I'm making up for my good deal deployment by working in the AOC Fri and Sat night. Additionally, my wife and younger daughter are at a dance competition out of town. Next weekend I'll be off. My boat is raring to go, I think. I'll be off the following weekend too, except maybe to fly a flyby Mon afternoon.

I hate to miss part of a weekend, but some things are more important.

Hey Hampton....Let me know when you can do a fly by and zip on up here to Annapolis. I'll be in the Severn giving you two thumbs up!!!!!!!! How long would that take anyway from Panama City to Annapolis??????

6 weeks, 5 hours, 28 minutes 33 1/3 seconds.

6 weeks of planning, getting denied, re-submitting for approval...
4 hours for briefing, suiting up, pre-flight...
1 hour 28 minutes, 33 1/3 seconds airborne at fuel-efficient cruise speed...
Memories - forever

Sounds like a good plan!

John,

Is that cruising at about 700MPH?? Also what do you fly F-18???

Mark

I just plan on 9 miles/minute. F-15. I went to a web site that showed PCB to An, Md to be 800 miles. That's probably statute miles, and we travel at 9 NM/minute, so, that allows for slightly less than direct routing for Wx, ATC...

Have you been to the Annapolis Naval Academy? We are about 10-15 minutes away by boat and spend alot of time in the Annapolis area during the summer...... It's a great place to be in the summer........Very nice. I've also been in the ice rink in Annapolis for my son's ice hockey games against Navy... Always enjoyed that rink! I'm watching the CAPS now in O/T with the Pens..

I haven't done anything yet this year except change the zincs... Hopefully in the next few weeks...

I've been there as a guest on a tour as a child. We used to live in Friendly, Md, in a new subdivision called Rose Valley (1970ish). There was an airport in my back yard. I went back about 15 years ago and the place was completely different - very urban looking and over-grown with trees, shrubs, weeds...

I hear the time crunch. I have been working on spring stuff for six weeks. The admiral is ticked. But- the boat splashed last week. This week - redoing a walkway to the dock. The admiral is still ticked especially since I have been travelling eiliring the week.

Sometimes - you can't win. They complain when you don't fix things. Then they complain when you do fix things. :(

Of course - helping is out of the question.

Thats a good one. Of course, wifey is going to be helping me finish the painting in our newly finished basement this morning, even on Mothers Day... What a woman...
