Does anybody sync audio across multiple boats or devices in a raft or marina? I've tried the inexpensive FM Transmitter thing, and the quality is poor. Bluetooth splitters is an option, but that is mostly pairing 2 devices and the range is limited. I'm thinking that if we join all our phones to a LAN (via WIFI) and somehow sync and stream outward is doable (or does this not exist yet).

Thoughts?

To do what you're thinking about is going to require 110v power at all the potential speaker locations. Assuming you can do that, I'd recommend the SONOS system. It's not outdoor rated, but as long as you can keep things dry it would work. The speakers sound awesome and it's specifically designed for having multiple speakers, sources, etc.

There are a few Sonos competitors, but Sonos is the clear leader in this space.

I'm familiar with Sonos in a home application, and it works well.

Another thumbs up for Sonos at home. Like a lot of life's modern conveniences, I don't know how I lived without it.
