1989 sea ray dancer 340 Twin 7.4,s Shaft drive. Need to add aux transducer to transom. where is the best place to install with having shaft tunnels. Only want the accurate depth when at low idle speed (prior to anchoring) don't care if it works at higher speed as I have the factory in-hull that works. Added new graph w/GPS, temp, and depth, and would like it to work as back-up. I have room directly below garboard plug. If any pics available please send. Thanks a bunch.

Hi...in my case my next alternatives appear to be either soundboard transducers perhaps go with a 3 sensor framework and a tone wheel for more control. Or on the other hand checking whether I can find some kind of aloof mic that would function admirably; pressing factor, dynamic or possibly a condenser with a simple available little battery or something?

All I need to do is have something to blend in that can darken any piece of quack from the palathetic pickup. To be straightforward it sounds very great as of now however adding a mic or a bonus would simply be the cream on top.

I suspect you will have little success finding a transducer location that will reasonability work on the transom of that boat other than at rest or dead idle. As the propellers are forward of the transom and this is a plaining boat with trim tabs there is little chance to find non-turbulent water anywhere around the transom.

Roger that. I added a GPS/Graph Hummingbird Helix 7 and thought it would be nice to have depth showing on it. Mostly used when idling when finding anchorage. Just nice to have a backup from the original thru hull that I'm using now. I will try to the side of Garboard plug and see how it goes. Thanks a bunch.
