Good evening everyone,

I have a small issue that I was hoping to get a bit of insight on from the community.

About a week ago I found that I had accidentally drained one of the batteries because I had left the ignition on (engine off of course).

I subsequently plugged the shore power in and let the batteries charge for a good 3 or 4 days. I then verified that I had power in the cabin and hadn't given it a second thought until today.

This evening I was checking the boat and for some reason or another turned the ignition on to find a smart craft alarm for low voltage.

My first thought was that the battery was still low, but I am seeing 12.5 volts on the gauge with the engine off. And I get the same results whether on am on battery 1, 2, or both.

Is there anything I need to do to reset this low voltage alarm?

From what I can tell the condition has been fixed. I haven't tried running the engine yet, I'm hoping that once the alternator kicks the voltage up the alarm will be reset.

Thoughts?

thanks to all in advance!

Just ran the engine for a few minutes and I'm getting about 14.4 volts, but the alarm continues.

I did a bit of searching, and it looks like there might be a fusible link and separate circuit that the computer receives the voltage from. Does anybody have experience with that link on a Sundancer?

Is it possible that the computer needs to be reset to clear this code? That would be really frustrating!

first let me state I have absolutely no experience with this issue, however if you wanted to reset the computer it may be possible to just disconnect the negative battery cable for a couple mins. and then put it back on the battery....this should force the computer into a reboot mode...

I think that is a good idea, I'll give that a try when I get home.
