Another vote for the Hurley H30. We have a 10’6” Inmar with a 20hp Honda. Weighs about 450 loaded. Retrieves and launches easily with the hand winch. Have about 15 hours offshore with it and very stable thus far. I agree that this is about the max weight you’d want put on it. If we every get a bigger dinghy, Freedom lift seems like the only option...
Realize the Seawise doesn't address your slip issue. Although, I'm in the same boat (pun intended). Typically backed in tight. We just loosen the lines and slide the boat forward when we want the tender at home.The reason that the H30 won't work for me is because of the launch / retrieve. MY boat is backed into the slip with no room behind me. I'd have to move the boat forward every time I wanted to use the dink.... which we do (sometimes more often than the actual boat). With a davit (crane) type system like the one I pictured - I can lower straight down and maintain total use of my platform.
