Here’s the thing. They say it was a loan repayment. Well if there was a loan, there should be interest income from that loan on Joe’s tax return. If it’s not there, sounds like tax fraud which seems to run in the family.
Isn't taking out a loan and repaying it illegal all by itself? I think a judge in New York ruled that as "fraud".

Well the steel mill I worked at from 1995-2005 just shut down. I live in a small town of about 9000. There are 3 places around here that are higher paying blue collar jobs. When I left there in 2005 I was making $18/hour but back then that was fantastic money for this area. The place opened in 1979. I was talking to a guy this past Thursday that works there now and he was telling me they may be shutting down. Wife just read a post that they laid everyone off this past Friday. When I left there they had only had 1 layoff in their 26 year existence.
Can't help but think it's the state of the economy today. Thanks Bidenomics!

Well my manufacturing just came to a screeching halt. Talking 2009 depression numbers. Not good.

We are going to need steel to build tanks and such for the upcoming WW3.

Hopefully you have a massive investment in crypto to tide you over....

Seriously though, did demand just dry up? I thought you had a huge backlog at one point. Maybe my memory is failing me.

Huge backlog was so last year. :) But yeah, went from Covid panic buying to we have too much stock, maybe we'll order in January 2024. Last time I saw this level of variation was 2009. Not good.
