Bilge Blower will not turn on at the control panel

Need some help from the forum. A friend of mine has a 2003 280DA and the bilge blower will not turn on at the control panel. The blowers will turn on fine at the helm but not at the control panel in the cabin. Anyone have this issue before and any tips to resolve this?

Does the control panel switch light up when the blowers are turned on at the helm?

A few possibilities here. One, is that the carling switch on the panel is bad or that a contact has disconnected from it. Another is that there is a small "tie in" box that connects that traditional switch to the EIM system to interact with the switch panels at the helm. The box should be mounted on the starboard wall under the helm, just to the right when you're looking through the lower access panel at the helm by your feet. I had a similar issue on my 2004 280 and it was the "tie in" box. I was able to order one directly through my dealer for ~$150 ish if I recall correctly
