hey guys, any thoughts on where to look first? As soon as I flip the switch, the fuse blows. I removed the pump and cleaned it up. Hooked it to a battery to test it and it still works. It did feel a little tough to spin by hand when I first removed it, but spins freely now.
Thanks, mike

how much current does the pump draw now, cleaned up?
A binding pump shaft will tend to blow thew fuse.

Same thing happened to me. I bought a new one just to be safe.

Absolutely replace the bilge pump, it's never a good idea to clean them up and reinstall. They are throw away units.
