I was at the boat today (2006 340 SDA) and noticed the bilge pump would not work with the switch on the helm. The float switch works fine. I tried to reset the breaker on the engine room bulkhead put it would not stay in.

The only thing I can think of is there is a short somewhere. Anything else I should check for?

The auto switch powers the pumps brown lead and that goes back to the manual switch.
If the wiring was shorted from the pump to the switch the auto pump wiring or its fuse would blow. The breaker not resetting may just be a bad breaker or a problem from the breaker to the switch

Thanks for for the quick response. The breaker I referenced is actually the button on the EIM. Is there a way to replace individual breakers in this unit? If not is there a way to wire the bile to the open accessory position on the same switch pad?

My personal opinion is to hard wire the manual side to a standard panel switch
should the interface fail , everything connected to it fails
You can rewire it by locating the bilge pump manual lead and wiring it to the accessory switch wire at the eim

Thanks for the advice. Base on the schematic it looks like I can wire it to one of the accessories switches on the same keypad. Do you know if there are loose wires for those two accessories in the engine room that I can tap into?

Went to the boat today and tried the bilge pump breaker on the EIM. It reset and the pump runs normal.
