Boat prices coming down? looks like it.

The ugly of ugly IMO. More like why?
OK. Difference of opinions... Lots of different color cars on the dealer lot.

Why?
lets see
3 stateroom, 3 head, plus crew quarters, cruise at 40 knots.... all in an express cruiser....
checks a lot of boxes for me...
Enjoy the CC's, not my cup of tea.
No disrespect intended. Just not for me.

No I don't disagree on the amenities, crazy setup. There is one in St. Michaels every so often and it's huge. I just don't care for the look of the dark grey color. Once on the boat I bet you get lost in the luxury that it offers. Totally agree form that vantage point and makes more sense then a CC for me as well.

I know that thing is huge, but it's not. When you say 67, I am thinking of more room then you what to do with. And that isn't really the case with that boat.

Of course for over $5M it should check all of the boxes and then some, and get you a few of the bikini girls to boot! Also 3000hp, must be good on fuel.

And there is my exact point - a 28' Boston whaler cost's more then this 42 sedan bridge Sea Ray. https://www.yachtworld.com/yacht/2004-sea-ray-420-sedan-bridge-8347370/ Both are twin engine and both have cockpit space. One you can spend a week on the water with and the other not so much. But hey, to each his own.

.
In today's market, a SeaRay is a mid range boat. OTOH, a Whaler is top of the line. Hence, the price difference.

Since I own both I think my opinion is valid.

The CC groups are either fishing, or going to the sandbar.

Get the er quick, party out and get home.

My buddy here loves fishing in his 32' Intrepid, and we tease each other about my comfort, lack of rod holders and of course, the ice maker.

CHANGE IS CONSTANT

Seems the only buyers of non-trailerable, overnight capable cruisers today are seniors.

I don't need to go 50 MPH

I like my RV on the water with the HVAC, shower, hot/cold running water, a comfortable bed, galley, microwave, gas grill, icemaker, fridges, and a toilet that I'm comfortable sitting on.

Oh and yes, I HAVE LOTS OF SHADE, and if it's hot I can plug in a couple of squirrel cage fans

At 66 I no longer care to spend 2 hours bouncing my guts out, cooking in the sun to go out and fight fish.

BEST !

RWS
I DO still fish. But, my SR "Family Boat" is not a good platform. I used to have a "fishing boat", but it was too hot when the sun was out.

My CC Whaler is the best of both worlds. With a full Bimini I'm always in the shade. It's not the wife's first choice, but since it's easily trailerable, and she DOES like it, we use it as our vacation boat.

The bottom line is that in order to be happy ALL of the time, you need to have more than one boat.

My current boat plus the dink is the best of both worlds for me. I go fishing with my friends at times. It's nice to spend the day off shore once in a while.
