Being proactive. Down here, there have been a lot of boat thefts. I personally know of three just with local friends. My insurance just doubled from last year due to the problems. Apparently over 50 boats were stolen in the Bahamas over the last 12 months. They usually get stolen and then used by smugglers or guys taking illegal immigrants to Florida. They use the boat for one trip and then scuttle them.
